UiPath Launches Maestro Flow to Orchestrate Coding Agents

UiPath has launched Maestro Flow, a developer-first orchestration canvas that lets builders use the coding agents they already rely on to design, run, and govern complete business processes as a single artifact. The move positions the enterprise automation leader at the center of the race to tame AI agent sprawl.

What happened

Announced today from New York, Maestro Flow pairs AI-native development speed with enterprise-grade governance. Builders can use Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Codex to build, run, observe, and govern an end-to-end process directly from their native development environment, whether VS Code or UiPath Studio. The code-first experience ships into production without rebuilding or re-platforming.

"Enterprises don't have an agent problem; they have an orchestration problem," said Raghu Malpani, UiPath's chief product and technology officer. "With coding agents, it's never been easier to build an agent. But running a real business process, spanning agents, robots, systems, and people - and being able to prove what happened at every step - needs an orchestration layer."

Maestro Flow runs on the same Maestro orchestration engine enterprise customers already use, coordinating AI agents, robots, APIs, documents, and people within one flow. UiPath is also rolling out Maestro Lite for processes that don't require extensive management.

The launch lands as enterprises discover that building an agent is the easy part. UiPath's announcement signals that incumbent automation vendors intend to own that layer, competing directly with agent startups and framework providers for the orchestration crown.
